WE ARE ALL TREES (Heritier Bilaka)

In Bantu culture, a tree represents not only life and Mother Nature, but also a sacred entity around which people gather to resolve conflicts and strengthen the bonds within the community. In this composition, I have depicted overlapping figures that, taken together, evoke the image of a Christmas tree adorned with golden ornaments, echoing the joy and shared wishes of the Christmas season, strengthening our bonds as the roots of a tree.
