Tulips and Jugs Still Life (Saskia Wassing)

I collected together all the jugs in our home to draw. Each piece holds a memory, a story of my travels near and far of the people and places cherished. I was given a a beautiful big bunch of tulips which added gorgeous colour and shape. Bright and metallic threads are embroidered onto white linen using my basic domestic sewing machine as a drawing tool. I stitch freely over the surface creating rich texture, pattern and image. Framed within a 16”x 18” modern white wood frame, ready to hang.
