This Is So Delicious (Francie McGlynn)

AKA "Our Lady Famine". When I was given this nest by a friend I was struck by its bowl-like structure. At the same time as the nest arrived in my studio I was seeing videos of starving children in Gaza every day on the news. The nest became an empty bowl and also the eerie face of a figure with bones for limbs and a heart of stone. The title 'This is So Delicious' refers to a sick patriarchy, and people who glorify war and seem to find the suffering of small children 'delicious'.
