The Red Line (Holly Atkinson)

This figurative ceramic sculpture features exaggerated facial planes and simplified, stylized contours that distinctly echo traditional mask-making. I used a rich, earthy palette and expressive lines across the surface, giving the piece a profound, ancient feel. The intentional shapes and closed eyes serve to blur the line between portrait and a symbolic, protective vessel of identity.
