Striking Gold (Marica Villeneuve)

This piece is a further exploration of an art series of goldfish and light sources that started in 2023. Its beautiful colouring and flowing fins remind me of the colour and movement of a flame. I like to juxtapose animals and nature with man-made objects to show that we are all connected and we share this planet with all living things, in the hopes of creating a better appreciation for it and to emphasize the importance of preserving it. 4.25" x 4.25" painting framed to 8.75" x 8.75".
