Rolling Conciousness (Kai Fennell)

(High Cadence Series) This piece is part of a series called High Cadence that explores the relationship between sport, art, and self. Rolling Consciousness is a reflection of cycling as a form of mindfulness. Being alone in my room on a stationary trainer is an intimate place as I focus on the movement, the pushing, and the reaching of the goals I had set for myself that day. The room when I’m training is always too hot, sweaty, loud, windy, and dark, but it’s my safe place.
