Panic (Carrie Chisholm)

This mixed media on light blue velvet work depicts a fractured necklace made up of turquoise-coloured handmade beads, imitation cut gemstone detailing gold-coloured wire and cut ribbon pieces. A distorted bejewelled bird in flight is located in the centre. The entire jewellery piece is rendered distortedly through blind contour drawing with acrylic paint and the mixed-media applications. The work was inspired by a Tiffany & Co. jewellery advertising campaign. The work is unframed.
