A lone dog stands alert at the water's edge, watching. Behind him, a red ship rests in the harbour, its scale softened by distance. Tiny figures move across the sandbanks while the dog stays still. This work is about quiet vigilance, the particular stillness of a creature who has appointed himself sentinel between the sea and everything behind it.
