Missilee (Harriet Liu)

In the summer of 2025, I spent two weeks at the Slipvillan Artist-in-Residence in Stockholm, Sweden. The house cat, Missilee, had a mischievous expression that evidently stolen my heart. Through this painting, I sought to convey the essence of Missilee’s unique personality — elegant, independent, and mysterious. The work also reflects the atmosphere of the residency house itself: its vintage furniture, century-old architecture, and the lush richness of a Swedish midsummer.
