Manjushri Attending the Assembly 文殊赴会图 (Yu Ding)

This work depicts Manjushri (Mañjuśrī), the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, attending an assembly in his honour amid the sacred landscape of Mount Wutai. Holding a ruyi scepter, a symbol of spiritual authority and auspiciousness, he appears as a serene teacher and guide, giving Dharma to his followers. Adapted from a mural in Mogao Cave 159, this work exemplifies the elegance, refinement, and spiritual depth of Tang-dynasty Dunhuang painting.
