Military figures intermingling with civilians is something we are seeing more and more at the moment, and have seen in the past. Everyone is coping the best way they can (observing, engaging, distracting themselves from reality, or ignoring it altogether), but it’s real and it’s ugly and yet the world still has beauty and kindness, and the planets continue to orbit, and the seasons change (to some extent).
