I began developing this style during the isolation of COVID lockdowns. The coral-reef-inspired designs became metaphors for connection, mutual support and community. These forms evolved into murals across the GTA, each envisioning an ideal ecosystem of interdependence, where diversity is the foundation of thriving. Painted on the back of a repurposed wooden condo ad, I have subverted a representation of our collective loss of third spaces, and transformed it into an object of joy and beauty.
