Introspection (Zhan Zhang)

Tissue paper is carefully hand-cut and twisted into fibres that are both resilient and fragile, serving an unexpected purpose as a conceptual art installation. Spinning thread from one’s own flesh, sewing up invisible flaws to be a better self, makes one’s soft boy resilient and strong, and stretches oneself to the fullest potential. The work will be 45x52x3cm when framed. Each individual piece is $400. The installation version with 10 pieces as a set is available.
