Inside Out (Zhan Zhang)

Hand cut paper art. There is the square version and the round version to choose from. The process of producing this series is intricate and time-consuming: in the same way of “line drawing”, the paper cutting art is broken into the smallest unit in the once traditional but now contemporized art medium - the cuts - an attempt to place this form and material in a broader cultural context, re-imagine the function of these tactile practices in contemporary art scene.
