I See You (Holly Atkinson)

A figurative ceramic bust with meticulously pierced holes in the hair transforms a traditional sculpted head into an airy, lace-like lattice. This structural detail not only allows light to cast intricate shadows but it also gives the static clay a dynamic, breathable texture. This sculpture is hand built, fired at cone 6 and patinated with washes, stains, paint and sealed.
