The fish in this painting came from the back of the freezer. It had been left too long—past the point of use. This piece reflects on small failures of intention, the quiet habits of waste, and the way time settles into what we meant to do but didn’t. It’s part of a larger body of work that explores food as memory, responsibility, and material culture—asking what it means to honour what we consume, and what it means when we don’t.
