Location: Starts at Kal Mansur’s studio (address to come) and ends at Lustre Contemporary, 150 Sterling Road.
Every artwork has a journey. It’s sparked in an artist’s imagination and made in the studio. Then it’s shown on a wall or pedestal, and finally loved and cared for in someone’s space. On the afternoon of Saturday, November 21st, we’ll follow that thread with the people who’ve lived every step.
We’ll begin with a visit to the studio of longtime TOAF artist Kal Mansur, exploring his practice and latest material experiments, before strolling to Lustre Contemporary (snack stop on the way). There, gallery founders and fellow artists Mara Minuzzo and Patrick Lajoie, alongside curator Maita Sayo, will share stories from their journeys as artists, dealers and collectors.
Expect drinks, a few prizes and new friends in the making.
