Ephemeral Presences by Serena Merla (S.A.I.L. Student Art Innovation Lab)

Serena Merla is a multidisciplinary artist from Ontario whose work explores memory, connection, and everyday life. Using food-based dyes and acrylic paint, she creates mixed-media works that reflect the passage of time. As the dyes gradually fade and the acrylic remains, traces of shared experiences are preserved, highlighting how moments may disappear while their emotional significance endures.
