Box and Shadow (Andrew Zimbel)

Box and Shadow is part of my exploration of geometric abstraction through everyday objects. During the pandemic lockdown, I ordered takeout from my favourite restaurant to support them through the shutdown. The box sat near a window, casting a clean shadow across the floor. Drawn to the form and contrast, I photographed it and later repeated the image into a structured grid. The result turns a small act of care into a visual study of light, balance, and quiet repetition. Limited edition 12
