autumn colours and river sparkles (Micheal Zarowsky)

for me painting a lake, just stepping back a bit from the shoreline offers up a fullness which fragments the river view into a tangled autumn colours overgrown ‘waterfront screen’ is more interesting than the open view once i reach the waters edge. early october stream running out of devils lake
