Ariadne (Brigitta Kocsis)

My work investigates how myth, fantasy, and digital aesthetics collide to challenge contemporary power structures. By layering, pixelating, and abstracting the figure, I aim to expose the social dimensions of erasure: who is silenced and who is rendered invisible. Within this framework, I perform feminist interventions by subverting traditional narratives, such as recasting Ariadne as a hero, replacing Theseus. The series seeks to reclaim the mythic archive as a site of contemporary resistance.
